Comprehensive Community Services (CCS)



If you are an adult, child or adolescent consumer enrolled in Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) through Wisconsin's WRRWC and your county, you and I can coach together in person at your home or out in the community to help you meet your goals. Under certain circumstances, I may be able to transport you during service time if it is approved.
Because of my professional experiences, lived experiences and training, I have particular expertise supporting individuals who experience or have experienced: PTSD, Domestic Violence and/or relationships with power and control dynamics, Chronic Pain and other health challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other disabilities,
communication and parent education needs.

Lived Experience
Joy has developed resiliency in her efforts to optimize her Lived Experience with anxiety, chronic pain, and adverse childhood experiences. She has learned many self-care skills to manage stress, create a healthy support system, set healthy boundaries,
communicate her needs, improve nutrition, manage
her weight, stay physically active, create meaningful work, build her own wellness team, and to manage pain and anxiety to the best of her ability. Joy looks forward to coaching with CCS participants and clients to support their own journey toward greater health and wellbeing.

Certified Professional
Life Coach
Joy became a Certified Professional Co-Active Life Coach in 2004 through the Coache's Training Institute, and she has 7 years experience as a small business owner. Joy primarily coaches
adult and adolescent clients on areas they identify such as: striving to improve their physical health, mental wellbeing, vocational fulfillment, social connection, relationships, communicaiton skills, spirituality, self-care skills, recovery and resiliency. Joy trusts in the coaching process and invites clients to experience greater acceptance and compassion as they work towards meeting their goals. Joy looks forward to coaching with CCS participants and clients.

Speech Language Pathologist
Joy has a Master's degree in Commuication Disorders and has 14 years professional experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist with all ages and ability levels. She worked to evaluate and treat client's speech, language, and
communication skills such as: receptive and expressive language skills, social
interpersonal skills, organizational and planning skills, problem solving, decision making, self-regulation, and activities of daily living such as shopping, cooking, and budgeting. Joy connected clients to community resources and provided education and parent education to best support each client's success. Joy brings this expertise to her work with CCS participants and clients.


Program Director
River Source Family Resource Center
at Family Support Center
For nearly 2 years, Joy was Program Director at River Source Family Resource Center which is a program of the Family Support Center. Joy worked with staff to prevent child abuse with children ages Birth-5 and to empower parents to be their child's best teacher. Services provided included Parents As Teachers Homevisits, Play Groups, New Baby Visits, Parenting Classes, Family Fun Events, Resources and Referral. The Family Support Center is a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault prevention and advocacy center in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. In additon to this, Joy has a total of 12 years professional experience working with children and families. Joy looks forward to supporting the parents and children she serves through the CCS program.

Employment Specialist
Joy has 4 years experience working as a Employment Specialist with youth and adult DVR clients. She assessed client's vocational skills and developed jobs for clients who experienced a wide range of abilities and barriers to employment. The clients Joy served were frequently working on their recovery from mental health, AODA, or other disabling conditions. Joy taught Job Club, assisted clients with resume development, soft skill and interview training, setting up work experiences and securing job hires, supervising job coaches, and advocating for clients on the job. Joy looks forward to assisting CCS participants with job skills training to assist them in meeting their employment goals.

Volunteer Coordinator Transportation Program &
Caring Companionship Visits
For nearly two years Joy coordinated a Volunteer Driving and Homevisiting Program for adults and seniors who were in need throughout Chippewa County. Joy recrutied and trained volunteers, coordinated rides using volunteer drivers, transported clients, recognized volunteers, wrote grants, performed community outreach and tracked outcomes so that over 1200 rides and caring companionship homevisits were provided each year free of charge. Volunteering is a strong value of Joy's because she has seen and expereinced it's many rewards.
